Located on the southern coast, Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort has been developed on the site of one of Mauritius' best kept and most guarded secrets, the former sugar estate of Bel Ombre. The countryside that surrounds Le Telfair is both impressive and imposing. On one side, the foothills of Plaine Champagne descend in a sheer drop of over 500 metres, while on the other, the vastness of the Indian Ocean stretches way beyond the horizon without so much as a speck of land. The resort is 35km from the airport and 40km from the island's capital, Port Louis.

The resort offers a wide range of both land and water sports, land activities are based around the club and include tennis, mini golf and mountain biking. Keen golfers will love the 18 hole championship golf course adjoining the hotel, two streams intersect the course which also features the 19th century Chateau de Bel Ombre with French gardens and a club house.

Superior Room:
112 Superior rooms of 62 m2 have furnishings dressed in natural cotton and linen fabrics of soft warm hues of green, crème, beige and cappuccino. 58 rooms are sea facing whereas 54 rooms are river facing. 20 Superior rooms interlead with Junior or Ocean suites at patio level.

Junior Suite:
20 Junior suites of 81 m2 offer a hexagonal shaped lounge, a wide linen-draped four poster bed. In the bathroom, luxuriate in a generously proportioned, free standing, old style bathtub.
Ground floor suites have a private outdoor shower area.

Senior Suite:
Our 8 Senior suites of 101 m2 offer a perfect escape with a separate lounge and dining area furnished with period pieces. The adjoining bedroom has a generous linen-draped four poster bed as well as a spacious en-suite bathroom with a his and her's wardrobe. Ground floor suites have a private outdoor shower area.

Ocean Suite:
Each of 2 Ocean suites (116 m2) is set on the foot step of the Indian Ocean with a large verandah, spacious lounge, dining area and guest washroom. The adjoining bedroom has a wide linen-draped fourposter bed as well as a spacious en-suite bathroom, his and her wardrobes and an old style, free standing, bathtub and a private outdoor shower area.

Children and extra bed policy:
A baby cot can be accommodated in all room types.
Possibility of sofa-bed in the Superior room only for maximum 2 children under 13. An extra bed can be added in the Superior room (but cannot be combined with the sofa bed) and in the Senior and Ocean Suite. Maximum of 2 children allowed per room, sharing with parents.

Hotel Restaurants and Bars
Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort offers a wide variety of dining experiences allowing guests to discover new flavours and cuisines.

Annabellas:
The main restaurant, at the heart of the resort, serves breakfast and dinner from the interactive show kitchen, where guests and the kitchen brigade enjoy a convivial atmosphere. Enjoy the tastes of Telfair with a 5 course choice menu nightly.

Ginja:
Set on the beach, looking westward, this modern lifestyle restaurant is open for lunch through to dinner. Serving fresh fish and seafood with an Asian inspired influence, this restaurant is ideal for a romantic dinner at sunset. Dining in this restaurant is extended to a feet in the sand experience with table settings on the beach and along the waters edge with a mood enhanced by flaming torches. For dinner, a food credit is offered.

Le Palmier:
Overlooking the pool and the ocean and open from the morning till sunset, enjoy Mediterranean style flavours from open wood fired oven or a range of refreshing beverages and exotic cocktails. Beach waiter service
is also available.

Cavendish Bar & Lounge:
Masterpiece of the hotel, this bar boasts a Cigar and Library lounge area reserved for the connoisseur gathering in comfortable armchairs and enjoying the sounds of the resident band, overlooking the river. Open from 11am till late.

Le Château de Bel Ombre
Built in the early 19th century and set amidst 100 year old gardens, this Manor house was the heart of the Bel Ombre Estate. A convivial lunch over a Mauritian meal, a classic afternoon tea or gastronomic French meal with island flavours, the restaurant is open from lunch through to dinner. For dinner, a food credit is offered. Le Château de Bel Ombre is ideal for weddings, special events and those occasions requiring an extraordinary setting.

Meal Plan Information
Half Board includes buffet breakfast at the main restaurant "Annabella's" and a choice set menu dinner served at Ginja or Annabellas. A credit of MUR 800 will be given against A La Carte at Annabellas, Ginja and Le Chateau.

Valriche Nature Park
At the heart of the ‘Domaine de Bel Ombre’ just a few
steps from the hotel, adjacent to the Black River Gorges
extending over more than 400 meters above sea level, the
Valriche Nature Reserve is the natural habitat of many plants
indigenous birds and animals unique to Mauritius. The reserve is supported by the Mauritius Wild Life Foundation.

Visitors can observe true natural wonders in this reserve
which covers more than 2500 hectares. To explore the best that this beautiful area has to offer, you have the choice of hiking, day and night safaris, kids discovery tours, and excursions on quad bikes or by 4x4s (with payment of a supplementary charge).
